Sherry Parrish will lead professional learning for teachers to learn how to develop fluency and numerical reasoning with number talks, a 5 to 15 minute classroom routine designed to help students build mental math and computation strategies. Participants will engage in number talks, analyze classroom video clips, and learn how to connect student strategies to the Georgia Standards of Excellence and the Standards for Mathematical Practice.

On October 3, 2018 North Georgia RESA will be offering Mental Health First Aid training in Local Area. This groundbreaking eight-hour training course gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary.
