This course provides an in-depth exploration of the foundational skills essential to the science of reading. Participants will engage in a comprehensive study of the core components that contribute to proficient reading development, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and assessment. Through evidence-based practices and interactive learning, students will gain a solid understanding of how these skills interconnect to foster literacy. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with a thorough understanding of how to support diverse learners in achieving literacy proficiency.
Participants will be awarded 10 PLUs at the completion of the course.
