Job Title: Part-Time Wraparound Specialist
Reports To: Assistant Director

Job Summary:
North Georgia RESA is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Wraparound Specialist to support students, families, schools, and communities by connecting them to essential resources that address non-academic barriers to student success. The Wraparound Specialist will play a vital role in fostering collaboration between families, schools, and community partners to promote student well-being and academic achievement. This role
focuses on identifying student needs, connecting them to support services, and delivering regional training on the wraparound process.

About Wraparound Services:
Wraparound services are a comprehensive approach to addressing the non-academic barriers that impact student success. This process builds constructive relationships and support networks for students and youth with emotional, academic, or behavioral challenges. Wraparound services are community-based, culturally relevant, individualized, and family-centered. The purpose is to keep children and families together while supporting their holistic development.

Wraparound services aim to:
• Address student barriers related to academics, attendance, behavior, and home/community issues.
• Foster a collaborative process between students, families, schools, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate student focus groups to identify student-voiced barriers to academic success.
• Collaborate with NGRESA staff to support districts, schools, teachers, students, parents, and community members to build sustainable wraparound support.
• Develop and administer surveys to assess school, student, and community needs.
• Use data-driven approaches to prioritize and address identified needs.
• Establish connections with local, state, and national resources to support students, families, and school staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to expand available resources.
• Present innovative, evidence-based presentations to support districts, schools, teachers, students, parents, and community members.
• Facilitate learning opportunities for district/school staff on best practices for identifying and addressing student barriers.
• Engage in multi-disciplinary team planning to develop personalized support plans for students with emotional, academic, or behavioral needs.
• Participate in state-led training and professional development opportunities to remain current on best practices.
• Document and track service delivery and support efforts, monitor outcomes, and provide regular reports on student impact.
• Submit timely and accurate reports to NGRESA leadership, as required by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE).


Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with students, families, and schools to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Knowledge of wraparound service models.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating focus groups, training, and community-based partnerships.
• Ability to leverage data and assessment tools to identify needs and inform support strategies.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to student services and wraparound supports.
• Familiarity with the Whole Child framework and the Georgia Department of Education’s wraparound initiative.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to work with diverse populations and ensure culturally relevant supports are provided.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the whole child.
• Ability to identify root causes of student barriers and develop solutions to support student success.
• Ability to identify, secure, and leverage local, state, and national resources to meet student needs.
• Ability to effectively market the value of wraparound services to schools, districts, and community partners to develop partnerships and increase engagement.
• Work Environment and Schedule:
• This is a part-time position with requires occasional travel to partner districts, state meetings, and community sites.
• Regularly attend staff meetings, GaDOE meetings, and professional learning for Wraparound Specialist
• Perform other duties as assigned by the NGRESA Assistant Director
• Work may be performed at school sites, NGRESA office, and community partner locations.
