Let’s Read, Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist

Amy S. Kiser brings nearly three decades of experience and a lifelong dedication to literacy to her role as a Regional Literacy Coach with North Georgia RESA. With a passion for helping students unlock their potential through reading, she partners with educators and schools to create meaningful, lasting change. Before joining North Georgia RESA, Amy served as a literacy/ instructional coach in Gilmer County Schools for four years and spent 24 years teaching kindergarten through fourth grade, including early intervention programs.

Amy is a certified LETRS and Wilson Language Fundations facilitator and has earned an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, along with endorsements in Dyslexia, Gifted Education, and Instructional Coaching. She is also Orton-Gillingham Level 1 Certified, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practices that meet diverse learning needs.

Amy collaborates with teachers, coaches, and administrators to strengthen literacy instruction and build systems that support student growth. She believes literacy is the foundation for future success and is committed to empowering educators to help every child thrive.

In April 2023, HB 538 was signed into law, marking a significant step in addressing Georgia's literacy challenges and outlining key strategies for systematic improvement. Georgia's Early Literacy Act includes essential components that NGRESA Let's Read, Georgia Literacy Coach, Amy Kiser, is ready to help district and school leaders implement effectively.
